Hi i fitted a egr delete kit yesterday to my tdi bora after fitting started it up it sounded like there was no boost there so give it a couple of revvs then the engine started a nocking noise and a lot of black smoke then revved it again the nocking went sodid the smoke so tryed driving it it felt ok then it would missfire chuck a clump of black smoke got a little worried so removed it all refitted the egr valve as it were then all was fine ??????? Please help

I assume you removed the flexi pipe that connects to the EGR and put the blanking plate on the exhaust manifold??

Yes mate capped the exhaust manifold off  :sad: :whistle:

That sounds very much like you havent put a seal in place or done something up tight so you have a massive boost leak  :undecided:
