can anyone do the miles to empy and the illuminated needles for me in the SOUTHAMPTN area?

Have just read Rhyso's build thread and didn't know you could do miles to empty in middle of dash on computer  Thought could only do this on climate panel. The search begins for vag-tacho in West Yorkshire!!!!

Bar-steward!!! Have read a thread on another forum and don't think I can do it as I have a type 2 dash and not a 3

Rhyso does your little yellow immobiliser light pop up on your rev-counter or your speedo please?

Speedo - mine are Immob 3 VDO clocks.  Its only Immob 3 clocks you can do this mod to

Read this thread   :nerd:

This was the thread I read so I knew I couldn't do it on mine.

Is the immobiliser warning light trick a fool-proof way of checking what you've got or are there any others pref. without stripping my dash to bits....

Guess my miles to empty will have to continue to run of the grey-matter calculation of 25mpg!!!!

Don't becoming back saying yours is 45mpg Rhyso!!!!!!!!!!

two seconds to pull the clocks out - pull out the trim under the clocks, 2 x Torx10 screws and unclip the two connectors - part number is on the back :afro:

My long term average is currently showing 50.9mpg

I've got a Mk 4 Golf TDi with an airbag light on. The light is on because I removed the fuse when fault finding a headlight and the fault code just needs cleared with VAGCOM. I've bought the cable but can't work it out, any chance anybody could give me a hand? I'd also be interested in:

Auto Lock
Auto Unlock
Beep On Lock
Remote Windows
Miles To Empty
Illuminated Needles

I'm from Newcastle area and any help would be greatly appreciated.
