Best Internet Brokers ?
« on: 21 March 2009, 00:18 »
I hope this is the right place to post, I looked in the 'good guys' section and never really found what I was looking for.

I will be buying the mk6 GTI once it appears in the UK and was hoping to try and haggle as much as I could from my VW dealer, wither it be from the extra's or from the price on the car.

I'm trying to find reputable internet brokers that sell UK spec and UK cars, no imports! Does anyone have a few that they could advise me of to look at ?

Thanks.

GTI mk6, 3dr Manual (Yes Manual! If I wanted a Taxi I'd hail one, not spend £1500 on one), Candy White, Full Leather, Xenons, ACC, 18", RCD510 + Dynaudio, DAB Radio, Winter Pack, Luxury Pack, Fiscon Bluetooth Plus, Golf R LED's.

I found some brokers in my travels.

http://www.broker4cars.co.uk

http://www.buyacar.co.uk

http://www.drivethedeal.com

http://www.ukcarbroker.co.uk/

ukcarbroker are the only company with a GTI listed (mk5), so the others for me are a bit rubbish as they dont have a GTI listed at all.

Anyone have any others ?

You will be VERY lucky to get discount on a GTi Mk6 at launch time as the dealers know that demand will out strip supply.

As for internet brokers, I think they mainly deal in "run of the mill" models such as Match, SE and GT as these are what sell in the fleet markets...

Try at first but if no joy, give it a couple of months.
Most brokers did the mk5 GTI.
You could at launch of the mk5 GTI get 11% off at a couple of reputable brokers.
Then in mid 2005 one or two were giving 10% off again even with such a high demand for the cars.
Then demand went real high and VW limited supply.
Last couple year most were back to reasnable discount levels again.

Supply and demand is the key. Also VW often with some models class them as nich models, so limit supply and % the dealers have to play with, this is often relaxed to a degree with time.
Mk6 GTI  &  Mk1 GTI
34 years of GTI ownership.
