pressure spayer pre wash
« on: 25 April 2008, 09:36 »
Anyone tell me what is an ideal shampoo to use diluted in a pressure sprayer, so that I can pre-wash the car before my hand wash.
Something I can get from Halfords (as I'm going there shortly!) preferably!

Cheers

Could also do with a degreaser for my Bike chain if anyone has any thoughts on this!!!

engine degreaser, and some pressure washer shampoo... funnily enough, halfords do a big 5 litre bottle of the pressure washer stuff, but if i were you, and serious about car washing... i'd invest in a foam lance and some snowfoam or whatever its called... but i dont think halfords sell that shizzle, but tey do the foam lances, but they are eeeexxxxpensiiiive!

happy days, enjoy yourself!

noble tuned - and still not fast enough!

would love to use a pressure washer, or even a hose pipe would be nice, but I can't get my car near enough to my house!

I'd need to trail hose pipe and extension sockets up the street!
Didn't think about pressure washer shampoo! It isn't too harsh that it will strip off wax tho is it?

A mild dilution (around 10%) of All Purpose Cleaner will be relatively wax safe. If you use shampoo make sure it is PH neutral and then you should be safe enough with regards to preserving your wax.

Will prob get some of this.

Read about Supermarket brand all purpose cleaners on detailing world as well, would these do the job?

Cheers folks!

A lot of guys use the Aldi stuff, just dilute down well and don't allow it to dry on the car.
