cняis's orange mk2 VR6 - Dash out P.42
« on: 07 February 2010, 21:36 »
Ok well i say project but its mostly sorted... needs a few minor (mainly cosmetic) things doing but will be remaining largely as it is:

yes its orange, and yes its benrevs old car.

spec is:

2.8 VR6 OBD1 engine, 280mm grooved G60 front discs/hubs with G60 master cylinder. Engine and washer bottle located in the boot. mk3 VR6 seats. Longlife stainless exhaust system, sounds mental. Toad full closure alarm system. Coilovers (which are FUBAR'd so urgently need replacing).

Goes like the clappers but needs a fair amount of tidying up:
Sunroof leaks
Needs new suspension
needs the remainder of my new lock set fitted (ignition barrel and boot lock)
Passenger seat needs looking at (a bit loose!)
Various trim items need sourcing
Gear selection is a bit of a lucky dip with 3rd and 5th  :undecided:

Will be off the road for the next week or two until i get suspension sorted as it sounds like its about to fall off. more to come as I get off my arse and do it!!

I thought it was benrevs car you had got, I'd love a VR6 MK2
Passat B5.5 2.3 V5 170, with all the extras.

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.
