Good work so far Shaun.

Cheers, list will grow when MOT man says so.  :lipsrsealed:

From whats left in that list, all i'm going to do before MOT is:

Sort the wiring out for the horns, (horns are fitted now)
Fix the broken earth to steering rack
Get the new tyres on and all the wheels balanced
Give the brakes another bleed
Gas test it and tune it again now I have a borrowed strobe

Hopefully all this weekend, then book a visit to see the man that will want to poke it all over with his big screwdriver and see what happens!.  :undecided:

In what way?

Only reason i'm worried is I know i've done a hell of a lot....... But... I haven't changed everything and I fear a failure on major components I haven't touched and haven't got the money for..  I am unable to test drive apart from the journey to the station which isn't far... it's been a long time.

I hassle him, and iron out little issues on the ramp. Obviously a major issue would'nt be allowed, would never jeapadise the license. Thats a no no.

A least as you know it will get done properly though Shaun.

It's been so long since i've had to take a car for an MOT I don't know anyone that well anymore, used to be quite friendly with a place for years once but has changed hands since.... Will be taking mine where the other halfs car goes, they are honest and don't rip you off, at least i'll know that if it does fail its because there's a genuine problem that needs sorting and not because they're trying to make a quick buck.

Could try a council place? Then there is no incentive for them to fail you as they carry out NO repairs at the centres

The entire world is a Money Pit, you just have to pick yours.

Cheers, I know about these places, the place i'm planning on seems honest enough, they've never failed the other halfs car unless it deserved it and when works needed we never give it to them as we know someone cheaper for things like  welding (which is all it ever seems to need being a ford!) and they don't seem to care and pass it the second time.
