  • If I can't fix it at home, it ain't getting fixed.
.. you've got no excuse, you've got a garage!... what have you got to do to yours!?
I have 2 garages so i have double the non excuse
To do? Back panel, full respay as not happy with it as i can see the repair and ive never been 100% happy with the re-spray it got, new plastic arches, spolier and bumpers. Maybe even replace the front panel as its never looked straight since i bought the car and its always bugged me, New bottom arms and re-bush everything all round, new brakes, fit the new oem suspension i have had sitting about a while. (It has jamex on it and i find it shakes the shell to bits) Set the injection system up right, fix the MFA mpg thats gone faulty, and many other bits and peaces. The golfs on the list after i re-assemble one of my other projects so i cna get the mk1 in that garage.
What repair was that then?... back panel, is it the lower half thats gone at the corners?, mines shot in both corners, have a replacement that I need to get done but I can't weld.  I'll be intrested to see how much mine shakes me to bits compared to the Bilstein/Eibachs... they weren't too bad. i'm guessing your other project isnt a dub then?

So I moved the car tonight and noticed it looked a bit on the pi55....  gave the car a bounce in each corner and noticed the front was perfect and the rear was bouncy as fook!.... turns out that the lack of weight and drop at the rear means she's still resting on the helper springs, theres an inch to go before they will compress fully!!!, i have no choice to drop it quite a bit more... not sure if thats good or bad as i was only planning to go a little lower for now.
