You can't come on here showing me up thank you very much!... Only kidding, great work so far and looks like you found yourself a cracking shell to start with.  Nice going... As mentioned, not too sure on the wheels, first set of pinks on this site I saw was Dans (dmonday) silver mk3 VR wagon, that works a treat, not sure on an alpine White mk1 but like you we will have to see when done..  Great choice of body colour though, alpine White is one of the best mk1 colours IMO. I used to have one too.
