Lovely, lovely job.   TR looks so good when washed and waxed.

Be interested to find out how long your wax will last on top of C2v3.  I'm not convinced the two are compatible and C2 is designed to be used in conjunction with other Gtechniq products, so I can't see wax lasting very long on top of it, but would be good to hear your feedback.

Some feedback on the FK1000p wax on top of the C2v3. As far as I can tell, it seems to be hanging on. Whilst washing, the paint still has that smooth feel and water repellence which to me suggests the wax is still doing it's job (happy to be corrected!). The C2v3 as far as I recall on it's own didn't have those qualities to the same extent (mainly the feel). No idea how long I should expect the wax to last but if this was it (applied 3rd Feb) then I'm happy.

Not sure what to do next now the weather is improving. It definitely needs decontamination, probably claying and polishing plus some stonechips sorting so do I have a go myself or get a pro job done? I shall ponder that one...

Most C2v3 connoisseurs I know, and there are a few, say that the finish of C2 feels much slicker to the touch (and arguably better water repellence) than wax so it could actually be the C2 you are feeling.  Who knows?   Can you not tell by the visual finish, so to speak?  Does the paint look less deep and glossy - more sterile and glassy?

In answer to your latter pondering.......have a go yourself.

Er no, but you are not exactly selling yourself now.   Maybe the reality is different, but don't worry your forum personality does not come across as sterile, nor glassy by any means.

Gave the car a very quick wash today as I'm seriously hungover
Thought I'd try something new so instead of drying the car off, I rinsed it using the purified water that I use for window cleaning. Theoretically, it shouldn't leave any water spots but I'll have a look later when it's had a chance to dry.

Hopefully that should leave it water mark free.  I use a Raceglaze water filter hooked up between my outdoor tap and hose. No water marks with that.  Not cheap but best detailing purchase I've ever made. Water mark and therefore, stress free car washing!

I'll have a look at that, sounds good, although the van system's already paid for
Early night for me, I feel like death warmed up

Well if you've already get a water system paid for then great stuff.

I'm impressed you bothered to wash the car at all with a mega hangover.  That's dedication for you.  Sounds like you are paying for it now though.  Bed and sleep should sort you out

Busy weekend for me:-

First up my bros C63s then my A45.

Both cars were treated to the usual wash and dry regime and then:-

C63s

Sealed with CG Black Light applied with the DA on the lowest speed setting for even coverage, then waxed with DJ Purple Haze, which is an amazing wax to work with - so easy!

A45

Sealed with CG V07 Hybrid Sealant with Gloss enhancers and then waxed with PB Nattys Paste Wax Red. I found this a bit chalky but it would put me off using it again.

Both cars had their wheels sealed with CG Max Guard and exhausts sealed with Britemax Metal Sealant.

Tyres were then dressed with Achem Hi-Shine.

Front and rear screens were sealed with G-Techniq while side windows with AF Crystal.

Pictures aren't great but you'll get the idea.

I managed to do a video of the C63 but it was dark last night by the time I'd finished mine.

Thanks for looking!

Cheers
