fook that, i'm not blowing holes in my old girl!... it doesnt need any welding for now... cars solid but the rear valance will need doing next year, sheps doing it, he just doesnt know it yet!  :grin:

thanks mate, well i think you're gonna have your hands full when you start but i hope you get the bug and keep going, i think once youve mastered it you wont be able to stop!

But what a difference a decent welder makes.

You don't own a Mk2, you support it.

Totally agree...........decent mig welder makes a big difference with same skill/ability.

Of course i read it back in april but now im doing more and more for myself i can appreciate how much hard graft has gone into this car.  :smiley:

Now get on with some more updates  :grin:

Cheers mate, the credit for the damage repair goes to great bloke call Dave Bamford who is a wizzard in my book... I cant stress how grateful I am to him.  I got the car back as a non runner and the sh*t it took to get it this far is pretty well documented and i'm sure you've seen it all.  I feel pretty crap that its this late on in the year and its still not finished.  I'm just too busy!... I will (weather permitting) go mental on her again this weekend!

No excuses! I've been out to the garage this evening and Kurust'd my front panel by torchlight.
