Glad you got a deal you are happy with though mate (although i struggle too see how anyone could be pleased with a quote of £2600!!! ), its crazy how much 17yr olds have to pay for insurance. If i had to pay that sort of money when i was 17 i would never have been able to do it!

Martin

I never would pay more than a months wage for a years insurance, I sold my SXi for that very reason when the first years free insurance ran out and the renewal was 1100 back in 1992 cause the car was financed!  Even now that price would still make me think twice! But tahts easy to say when your an old fart with full ncb, my heart goes out to these youngsters, but I had to drive a banger and work my way up too just like so many others!!

FAB is my life and the CABRIO's the wifes!!!!

My daughter was on my policy and they gave her 2 years ncb when she went on her own, ended up with quinn-direct as the cheapest quote. Just had her escort 1.8 gti written off in a car park bump, so she is back with a Mk3 2.0 gti 8v and that is the same insurance cost about £600 tpft and she is 20. The girl dealing with it must be the nicest person I have ever dealt with, she also knows her stuff as well. This is actually her 4th car since she was 17 ( golf driver, honda 16v, escort gti, golf gti ). She has never claimed on any insurance and any bumps have been by other older drivers.
play gets in the way of work

Your daughter is a very lucky girl to boast that car collection in her first 3 years of driving, fair play to her !

Also dont make the common mistake that "driving other cars" is something you only get on comprehensive cover, many companies offer it on TPFT too. You age & occupation are usually more important in deciding whether you get it than the cover you choose.
