power steering rack

hi, i think my rack is leaking is there an easy fix or is it a new rack?
so if a new rack is needed how hard are they to change?

Not too difficult.
Straighten steering wheel, inside the car theres a 13mm that holds the column to the rack. Undo that.
Jack car up
Undo dogbone mount, ball joints (id leave the joints in the hubs and undo the 3 13s on either side
Undo the subframe. If you have level sensors for the headlights theyll have to be taken off the lower arm.

Now you will see where the power steering pipes go into the rack. Undo them and then... Undo the 4 nuts that hold the rack.

Fitting is reversal.

Its off the top of my head from 4 years ago. But the main jist is there.
Might turn out the washers where the pipes go in just need sorting.
I cant see the car so only speculate

If the rack itself is leaking you'll need a new one or a refurbished one  :sad:
