Show us your alloys
« on: 31 December 2012, 08:31 »
I'm sure this has been done before, but I'm interested to see what alloys people have on their MK6 Golfs, especially those of you whose Golf is Black.

My GTD is Pearlescent Black with the stock "Seattle Shadow" alloys.  They're nice, but for that touch of personalisation they're perhaps going to be the first thing I change.  (After all, the Re-Map, which will happen when my Warranty expires, is a hidden upgrade...I want something physically obvious that differentiates my GTD from others.)

I've tried a couple of those Wheel Visualiser Apps that are online, but they're a bit naff, and nothing rivals actual photos.

So, all you MK6 owners, show me your alloys.  :)

And Happy New Year to you all.

Tim.

At the moment I'm just hunting around to get an idea of what looks nice.  I do like the GTI Monzas, though really I'm looking for alloys which are black, because I like the look of colour-coordinated wheels.

I've also always quite liked the look of retro-ish steel-rimmed five-spoke wheels...so perhaps something along these lines;

Thanks Jimble...loads to browse through there.  Sadly, here at work, a lot of the images are blocked, but there are some images that give me a good idea...especially;

I do like those alloys, so I might test my Photoshop talents and see if I can make them look black.
