Odd rear wiper problem
« on: 02 November 2009, 10:36 »
I've got an odd problem with my rear wiper recently, when I put it on the wiper sweeps the whole path of the back window as it should, but it doesn't clean the last 1/4 of the normal wiper path. (i.e furthest away from the parked posistion)

I've looked at the wiper blade, its attached and the blade is in good condition. The wiper is sweeping the area and doesnt appear to be coming away from the window for any reason.

I have noticed that the rear wiper doesnt spring back to the window however but I can't remember if it ever did!

Is is possible that the spring has stretched and thats why it doesnt clean?  Anybody had this problem and know how to cure it?

I would say so you you need to replace the arm rather than the blade.
