Had a Tornado Red Mark 2 8 valve 3 door GTI back in the day. It replaced an Audi Coupe GT 5E also red. The GTI was much more fun to drive and a car I missed. Roll on over 20 years and I decided to scratch the GTI itch again. Test drove a 7.5 GTI PP with 19” Brescias and thought it was amazing. Great fun on a 30 min spirited solo test drive. Nearly bought it there and then. Before signing in the dotted line I decided to test drive a Golf R. Couldn’t believe how much more I enjoyed that and so bought the R. So, am now the proud owner of a 7.5 R with 19” Spielbergs.
We also have a Beetle Dune in the family which is a belting car and very quirky.
Have been looking on the forum for a few months and now hope to contribute a bit.
