Newbie with far to much work and no time
« on: 17 August 2004, 22:28 »
Hi all, a quick intro.
Been enjoying the site for  a while now, met Marcus (bought His BBS), also given some input to a few threds (all good info i hope),
I got a Mk2 16v on the road at the Mo, a Mk1 16v and a cabby gti which are taking up the little spare time i have.
Bought the Cabby about 3mnths ago with rear 1/4 damage, which is now repalced and awaiting me to return to the garage, when i can sneak out there without the wife noticing. Hoping to get it on the road in the next month or so.
The Mk1 ive had for 12 yrs which was an 8v origionally untill the cambelt sliped and the valves met the pistons, so the easiest transplant at the time was a 16v, which i must say is a laugh in a Mk1, but the sad thing is it been of the road for about 4 yrs now. I have great plans for it but cant bring myself to start until i can afford to do it properly. the car is in good nick but i want it A1.

Great site, spot on members

By for now,  Rob ;D
