It will look like I didn't get much done today, however I've been prepping the engineblock for paint witch is a pita.

so, I painted the engine today, turned out perfect:


everything for the engine is done, so now I need to start on the golf itself:




luckily the rust isn't as bad as I thought.

got the subframe off the car, I've heard a few horrorstory on the bolts, mine were fine:



new or what? Subframe didn't put up a fight at all.

And then 2 packages arrived this morning:


witch contained following things: gaskets, lot's of gaskets, filters(fuel, air ,oil), cylindreheadbolts, waterpump...


skf waterpump:


cleaned up the suspension arms, 1 off the balljoints is completely shot.


cleaned, polished and waxed my rims:
