Car does this sometimes, quite rarely though.

Once parked up, I find it very difficult to put into first gear, and the biting point of the clutch has changed. I barely have to lift the clutch pedal and I can feel the car pulling away.

The only way I can solve this, is to pull off again and go through the gears. Any ideas what this could be?

And I have had a new clutch and flywheel put in about a month ago. Thanks!

Difficulty getting into 1st might be the links need setting again.

Was the bite-point problem there before the new clutch?

nopeee, and neither was the gear stick problem

i'm just a bit paranoid as i'd rather fix it while it cheap.

new clutch biting point will be lower.. and looks like the links need aligning as weren't put back properly after changing of clutch go back to garage who done it and get them to sort it..

ah ok thank you. yes i understand the biting point of a new clutch is lower. but once the gearstick goes stiff, the biting point is even lower, i barely have to move the pedal

yer i still think when the car has been put back together the linkages haven't been lined up quite right.. no harm in getting them checked out bud..

I had this problem after replacing my clutch. you may need to reset your gear position, im sure there's a thread on here on how to do it..
