OBD Eleven Throttle app.
« on: 05 October 2018, 18:53 »
Has anyone tried the throttle app on OBD eleven?

Basically it gives the option of "standard" or "responsive".

I tried it a few days ago switching over to responsive.

Placebo and mind tricks aside, it does actually feel slightly more responsive at part throttle.

It's early days yet, so I can't give anything other than initial impressions.

Interesting?

I have driven the car a couple of times since changing to "responsive" mode.

I don't have any error codes (just checked), what kind of possible issues are there?

I had a 120 mile round trip today on A-B roads & (mostly clear) M25.

I drove the 60 miles there with responsive and reverted to standard for the return journey.

Once on the move, there is next to nothing in it.

The only advantage of "responsive" appears to be a slight improvement in the dead/lag spot at low speeds around town.

I looked at various forums for problems, I never found anything that appeared to be an issue, other than not really finding that much difference?

I've got my CS set to responsive, no error codes at all and does make it feel better at part throttle.

I changed it back to normal, drove it for a while.

I have since changed it back to responsive, which I will now use.

There is a marginal improvement in responsiveness and smoothness.

Like me, you may need to change between the two settings to notice the difference.

The difference is not night & day, but is definitely perceivable between the two modes.
