Well that's two new Goodyear Aysemtric 2's order from Etyers. They'll be fitted tomorrow. If you've not tried  etyres give them a go you.  Order one day they fit at a time and place that suits you the next. Always turn up on time as well!
Ok last few photos.
This is what we had to remove from the inside of the bumper.

I'll get a few shots of the with the bumper on tonight as I forgot yesterday.
I'm really looking forward to getting new Tyres and brakes fitted.

Time for some photos with the bumper on.

The photos aren't great as it's dull out and there're taken on my iPhone. Evern though I did spray it black it still doesn't stand out to much. It's obvious if you now what a FMIC looks look but doesn't stand out. I forgot to mention that we also needed to trim the fog light grills slightly.
Also the oil cooler fitting is a job for another day as we ran out of time. It's going to be mounted in place of the drivers side SMIC. Looking forward to getting the new Tyres fitted so I can go for a proper drive!

I've ordered a a few little bits from eBay and this is the first to arrive

It's a struggle to get the towing eye on now. It'd be fine for a brake down but I would'nt fancy doing a track day with it rubbing on the FMIC pipe work. It look well made and not bad for £9.95 delivered.
I also found this in Dads garage.

I bought it in June and I'd forgotten I had it still to fit. Hopefully it'll be fitted at the next session at Mum and Dads in Cleethorpes.
I had the new Tyres fitted yesterday so I'm still taking it easy so it's difficult to really judge the FMIC. Boy does the turbo spool up faster! It's noticeable on the boost gauge how much faster it flicks around to 0 psi. Also you can audibly hear the turbo boost up and dump more boost faster. Driving home tonight I came acros an old fart doing 40mph in a 60mph. As soon as it was sfe to over take I stopes it in to 3rd and I was suprised at the speed of the over take. So I'd guess mid range torque is well up. Also it's SO much smoother to drive.
I've been thinking ghat I should put rods in WMI and relentless manifold pre re map. I'm starting to think what the hell. Turbo back system them off the R - T e c k for a stage two map with larnch control, left foot braking and all the goodie!!! What are peoples thoughts on how much rods are needed????

So I've just had a trip over to Sheffeild to pick this up from the SheffieldVAGbreakers.

They're on eBay and have a facebook page. I believe also they're on here somewhere? Looking forward to getting this fitted.
I had a drive over to Sheffield from work in rush hour traffic. Then a good blast on the back road on the way home. It's nice to have new Tyres and the understeer has gone again. Also the FMIC is very impressive. 3rd gear overtakes are savage in comparison to the SMICs. I can only imagine what fun you stage two guys have!
So I've decided on a new list:
1. Brakes.
2. 3"DP and de cat.
3. R- tech for a stage 2 map.
Oh and I'll throw the front ARB on at some point as well.

So that's me up to date. I had the Milltek cat back fitted today. In town and at idle it sounds not far from the standard exhaust. Under wot it sounds nice. My car has a voice at last!
The only thing is why oh why did Milltek fit them with that god awful tip? It looks smaller than the standard one!!!
I also had a chat with the MOT tester and the de cat won't be an issue next year. So I have to a think between de cat and sports cat?

After thinking about it for months I finally removed the rubber extension for the oil filler

I'm wanting to buy a inlet manifold and rocker to get powder coated. Am I correct in thinking any 20v rocker cover will fit?

My latest buy from a member on SCN how is sadly braking his car.

It's a custom catch tank with two 19mm in let's and one out let. It comes with braided hoses, AN12 fittings including the rocker cover out let (which is why the rocker cover is included).
The forge catch tank and rocker over in earlier posts are no longer needed. If anyone is interested in either of them drop me a pm.

I finally managed to get some free time today to spray the charge pipe and inlet manifold. I smoothed out the casting marks in the inlet manifold. Then removed most of the paint from the rocker cover I bought from Phill. I'll have to apply some more nitromors tomorrow but it's getting there.

And after a coat of paint. I'll be adding a few more coats at some point but my diner was ready and know the football's on.

Sorry crap photos as usual, I'll have to get my lap top sorted out!

Also the forge catch tank and BAM rocker cover is in the for sale section.
