Right a few updates, if you can't view any pics please click either of the links below as I CBA to sort another hosting site out...

Firefox: https://addons.mozil...fix/?src=search

Chrome: https://chrome.googl...nflicjjgj?hl=en

The apps allow photobucket to work on the above browsers

Anyways I fitted a new headunit, didn't like the UI of the Eonon in the end. It's a AVH-3800DAB that I managed to get from Halfords for a steal

and when I started having a proper dig behind the old unit I was greeted with this lot...

Live wires that went nowhere, and exposed.

10 minutes later I had this

The hands free microphone was routed into the centre light and works nicely

I swapped my silly boot pop button for an OEM looking spare ESP button, same function

Bought some more clocks with a better MFA display and also the ability to add sweepy needles on startup

They needed the SMDs swapping over from blue to white/red which was fun

Finished dying my headlining, didn't come out quite as good as I hoped but it will do for now

Finally found a 42Draft Designs pillar pod but in grey, so I dyed that too

20170906_175201_zpsku3hvsiv.jpg

fitted my T5.5 rear hatch handle, all rigged up and working perfectly with a latching chageover relay

Bought an active sub, much to the wife's disgust

All fitted in after an hour or so and works perfectly, not bad for £65

Then went on a road trip with the family, saw some big fancy stones on the way

Then stayed on a farm in a canvas lodge. Very nice time had by all and only caught the subframe on the road once

Next up is the big 3 cable upgrade, thermostat and alternator swap. Brakes are also on the agenda soon, missing the Brembos on the front and really need to make use of the 310mm rears I have in the garage rather than keep tripping over them every time I go in there

Thanks for looking

Big 3 and 150A alternator swap done today, no pics unfortunately as I did most of it in the rain and wasn't in the best of moods. Managed to snap the dipstick tube and don't have a spare so superglued it back together for now, new one ordered.

For the big 3 I added a 4AWG cable to the alternator feed but added to it to a spare slot on my fuse box dropping both fuses down to 80A, added an earth from the alternator housing to the battery and also added an earth from the chassis (under the battery tray) back to the battery. Result? 14v, a damn sight better than my 13v I had before
