mk1 alternator whine
« on: 05 June 2003, 15:19 »
I have alternator whine on the FM mode on my radio only. I have a suppressor on the alternator and an interference supressor in line to the radio power supply, I have tried to disconnect the amp, and re-route the aerial cable, but I still cant shift the interfernce. It only appears when the engine is running and increases in pitch with the increase in revs. It has onlt started since replacing the pioneer unit with a kenwood unit from my other car, but the interference wasn't there when the unit was in the other car. Its onlt on the FM and not on the CD, Tape or AM, Can any one suggest a solution - please, I'm getting bored of just listenening to CDs now... :-[
