Here are a few tips.
1) go on ebay, search your car. Make a note of the prices.
2) go on autotrader, search your car. Make a note of the prices.
3) go on the for sale section, search your car. Make a note of the prices.
4) go on parkers, search your car. Make a note of the prices.
5) go to the shop, buy a magazine, search your car. Make a note of the prices.
6) go to the newsagents, pick up a local ad paper, search your car. Make a note of the prices.
Just so you all know, any threads that appear in the mk2 section from now on will be locked or deleted upon sight, that have anything to do with what's it worth.

i am sure it wasn't just you. That question gets asked a lot and is always treated with the same reply, i.e its worth as much as people are willing to pay blah blah blah. So would be easier if people just did a bit of homework on it first.

wasn't directed at one person in particular by any means matey, as neaty has mentioned it is a commonly asked question that never really gives an answer that the topic starter is going to be happy with. Therefore, find cars of a similar spec, and price it accordingly. Easy peasy.
