Focus remap....
« on: 24 August 2009, 17:14 »
Hello R-tech,

Wondering if you could give me abit of help for a few mates at work.

Both have diesel focus's [ i know, the people I have to work with ], and both are interested in a bit of R-tech magic dust  [or should that be soot ]

The first one is an old shape '53'plate TDCI 115bhp, the second is an '06' plate new-shape 90bhp version. Can both be done by yourselves first. If so what gains will both gain, particularly lb/ft, and how much would mobile map be.I know their £225 if done at your place as per pricing..

Cheers in advance, Kev..........

Hello,

Unlike the VAG maps Ford map (well the 115 tdci ecu) are all unique as they contain the VIN numbers, which means every remap  has to be created from the cars stock map.  To do this we have to write a map from scratch using the rolling road.   The Ford maps are easy to do and dont take many hours to set up, so 2 hours on the rolling road fine tuning and setting up will give a very strong and smooth custom map.

To custom remap the 115 tdci on the rolling road your looking at £225 all inc.
and to custom remap the 90 tdci you looking £265 all inc
Nick

Cheers for reply Nick will pass info on, and see what they want to do.

What will gains be as I know that'll be the first question they'll ask me. I realise because it's not generic it's difficult to say, and std figures will as always play a part as always.

Is 260lb/ft a realistic figure on 115 model..

Regards, Kev........
