I had something similar to that on mine when I got it and was given a phone specific cradle that fits on the bracket. Think you can get a bluetooth adapter that fits on the bracket too.

I eventually removed all of that and installed a bluetooth kit

Its obsolete, best remove it and replace the glovebox.
