recently...

bought the new gearbox.. cleaned the gearbox.. gave it a nice coat of smooth silver hammerite so looks

my car became a small paddling pool.. so had to refit sunroof.. thought i had lost parts so bought a whole new mech.. it turned up and so did the parts i thought i lost  so refitted that.. all it needs is a tweak as the rear isnt sitting flush but this should solve the paddling pool situation..

i still need loads of parts but as xmas coming and money tight will buy with january's pay slip.. hopefully get engine in soooon

this is pics of the gearbox as it stands after a long scrub (car it came off of had a oil leak from head so the box was coating in it but a good bit of G101 and a wire brush later) and then half a lick of paint still to finish

Three months since last update and nothing has been done i would be mad to go out in the weather we have had.. bought a few bits and bobs the last few months but money really tight so nothing major..

- clutch and flywheel do be fitted this weekend hopefully as bought clutch bolts last month
- Need to bolt gearbox to block to save it knocking around the garage
- Need to remove part of exhaust to fit the shifter and cables

And i will go from there hopefully if weather holds out i will do some this week and post pics

Oh and after fitting new sunroof which needs fettling ive had no more water in the car  :nerd:
