Yet MORE problems! Help diagnosing it please
« on: 24 August 2012, 18:20 »
oks was driving home a car shot out in front of me i had to brake hard and the hole front of the car felt like it clasped and had a hissing/scraping sound got home and found my drivers side wheel looks like its got camber and its not centered in the wheel arch like the passenger side plus the drive shaft on that side has damage/scrape marks.

could my coilover had just given in and failed ?

or is it something more terminal

don't know having a proper look tomorrow but didn't look it, was banging it down when took pics so want out long. i think the ball joint was in the vode but not all the way and at a angle so one bolt was dun up and the others missed, anyway got a mate from garage coming tomorrow and sorting it he's just replaced my steering rack so he may have fudged up doing the bolts, which he's gutted about putting me in danger as drove it to pick the GF up yestaday and i had a scrubbing sound when turning when moving and was going to see him tomorrow about it guessing it was the ball joint rubbing against the disk hence the scores on it in the pic.
