Yet another Spacer question...:) *Offset Added*
« on: 25 August 2011, 18:50 »
Evening all,

Going to purchase myself some H&R spacers. Not sure whether to go for the 15mm at the rear or 20mm at the rear as i have 225/40/18 tyres on will it stick out to much from the rear arches?

And also what to go for at the front 5mm or 10mm? again on same tyre size.

Bought some ones off ebay about a year ago (15mm rear and universal 5mm fronts) but they don't seem to clever im liking the fact that H&R bolt on to the hub first then the wheel bolts onto the spacer.

Getting myself some Weitec coilovers so i would like to go quite low but without the use a rollbar just yet which i will probs get next month.

Just had a quick google found the spacers on http://www.europerformance.co.uk looking around the £100 mark for the rears would this be about right? Anyware cheaper?

Heres how she stands at the mo:

Cheers gents.

Ritey then after battling with the English weather and getting my wheel off. I seem to have a offset of ET35  and some other info that might be useful wheel also stating 8Jx18. Finally ordered my Weitecs today also

Thanks again lads.

If its any help my wheels are also et35 and 8x18, I've got 20mm hubcentric bolt through spacers on the rears and the edge of the whee/tyre is flush with the rear arch. Deffo glad i went for 20mm instead of 15mm. Sorry i havent got any pics at the moment. Just need to space fronts out a bit now.

Cheers for the insight annekarob have you got your golf on coilovers? If so how low have you gone? I think i may have to go for the 20mm spacers. Have you gone for the H&R ones? So if i was going to space out the rear at 20mm what would people sugest i go for the fronts? 5mm or 10mm?

Thanks again
