Yet another thermostat question...

Got the same temp problem, seeing really poor mpg too because of it i think....

Quick question though, only recently done belt, pump n new coolant so i assume there's no issues catching the coolantand re-using?

Also, only had a quick scan at the how to, do i need the car to be jacked up to get a something under to catch the fluid?

depends how low it is when i did mine I parked one side of it on the pavement (mines lowered 50mm) gave me enough room to put a container under the thermostat area, I didnt drain the coolant from the tap i just pulled the thermostat out as even after draining you will get a fair bit out of the thermostat where it's sat in the block,

Cheers for that, was going to go the whole way and use the tap! Did you re-use or top up with fresh fluid?

i put fresh in mate but as long as you drain into a clean tub and it doesnt pick up any bits from running down the engine it will be fine  :smiley:
