i got a 90 digi 8v gti, was changing the rotor arm this morning, put the cap back on etc etc but i noticed number one lead was right at the front of the dizzy, on my drivers its always been at the back, is this right or has the dizzy been fitted 180' out??

                       < my old driver
      2      3        not sure if order is      3       2
                        right or not lol
         4                                                     1  (nearest slam
                                                                       panel)

the rotor spins the opposite way on the 1 litre and the 1.3 than the 1.6 and 1.8, but the order of leads of the same.

1-3-4-2. any other way and it pops and farts alot as I found out once

Could have been that someone has fitted the Dizzy 180 degrees out, which isn't a problem as long as the dizzy timing is also 180 degrees out

On my driver at cylinder #1 TDC the rotor arm points towards the head, and lines up with the notch in the dizzy housing.  Which I think means it is the same as the first diagram, but I'll check at lunch time
