how strange, the tdi seems to be fine now and I haven't even done nothing to it...!

it now accelerates above 70mph witout problems but acceleration isnt rapid above 70.. takes about 5 secs to move from 70 to 75 better than before i supose (seems to be an intermittent problem???)

however, will it improve performace if i go ahead and change the MAF anyway??? Will it make the car perform better with a new one??

mine was very intermittent when it went, sounds like the mfa for sure..... you'll definately feel the difference if/when you change it.....that is if it is the problem  :undecided:

Mk4 GT TDi::RS4's::weitec coilies::RCCR::polo mirrors::cream leather::
MK1 1.5 GL Auto restoration....coming along slowly :-(
its not the winning that gives me pleasure....its the taking apart

Sounds like the MAF to me.  I have just tested mine with VAGCOM. Not conclusive but could well be playing up, however,  might also be an intake blockage problem.

BUT MY Golf 1.9 TDI 90BHP has the engine code AGR - I just checked on the label by the spare wheel!!!!
