lubricants for use with detailing clay
« on: 05 August 2009, 00:57 »
What are they usually? I've seen some clays where it is advertised that they can be used with water as a lubricant, whereas other clays come with expensive lubricant sprays.

just use a QD spray (which you can water down to make it last longer) or you can use dodo born slippy

Yep as Guy said above, any QD will do the job.

As said above didn't have any probs with dodo born slippy. At the end of the day though it's only lube.

Yeah that's why I'm asking about water, because the lubes are pretty expensive when you think about it.

As far as I know there is only one clay on the market which is made to be used with just water and that's Bilt Hamber. All others are made to be used with lube,I for one would not use it without as i'd be too scared to marr the paintwork.
