Hello has anyone done a conversion on these from the avantgarde 2.0l to 1.8t from the golf mk 4? i am thinking about doing it but not sure what else i need. Found engine+loom+turbo+intercooler+downpipe+decoded ecu. Thanks!

ECU can be stock, you just need to put in mk4 speedo, then you can keep immo (and I always would).
You probably will also need gearbox, engine and gearbox mounts, probably brakes and axles too..... the mk3.5 did not have all that great brakes to begin with...

Been done. Ide be going for 280mm discs on front. Rear discs if they havnt got them.
Youll need pedalbox and a hydro gearbox. Mk4 will do but youll have to change the cups for 100mm out of your box so that your shafts can be used or find a mk3 16v box.

It will handle great on a flat straight road but the shell is so heavy it wont handle anywhere else.

Heavier than a VR are the avantgarde.

If it's a 3.5 you wont be able to use the ecu at all.
