Just to update.... I had the dsg service done to day possibly a placebo but I’m thinking the changes are much smoother especially down.

dereks, just so that I've understood you correctly before I take mine in, when you say "oil service for the same amount", did it turn out to be that the DSG oil change and filter, AND the engine oil change with filter together, was a total of £189 including VAT?

I get mines done next week at the dealer it’s a 2013 but it’s only done 25k, it’s more for peace of mind as it could be 10yo before it gets to 40k costing £189 also get a oil service for the same amount.

I can’t believe there would be any circumstances where I’d pay anybody £179 or £185 to do a simple engine oil change.
