A good snow-foaming followed by a shampoo with Gyeon Bathe+ and dried off with my BigBoi, which really makes drying the honeycomb grilles so easy.

The weather forecast for tomorrow is dry, but it goes rapidly downhill over the next few days until we get snow at the weekend.  Luckily, I'm not going to Goodwood's Members Meeting this year, so I'll probably spend part of the weekend watching the live stream from the comfort of my own home, and won't need to go out in the freezing cold to wash the car.

I like being (semi) retired!

Washed 1000 miles of salty road muck off today, had to do it after work so it wasn't quite as indepth as I'd have liked but it did come up 100% better. Gtechniq C2v3 on all glass and lights and a wipe over with Chemical Guys Speed Wipe. Don't need to be embarrassed driving it now

I did the same!

Not 1,000 miles of dirt but a month’s worth of dirt to remove, including pressure hosing the underside and the wheel arches, followed by the usual routine. 4 - 4.5 hours later, it was looking the way I like it to look again.

Had to relent and use warm water for washing though!

I can remember cleaning a car I owned in the eighties with water from the water butt, and I had to break the ice on top of the water before I started, so I’m usually OK using cold water.

I think it was the N-NE wind adding that extra chill factor that made me resort to using warm water.....and my poor stiff, ageing finger joints.
