Thanks for the link Exonian. But yeah probably not my thing so I have decided to keep the OEM tails - as the main thing i liked was the sequential indicators really. So i purchased some modules from Amazon that are plug and play and will not need any coding. I also got a set of the sweeping side mirror indicators too. But i'm not 100% sold on whether I will like them.

I brought my Ed40 with 20,000km on the clock, and there were no audible pops or bangs with the stock exhaust, it was once I deleted the resonator that they were there in full force. So your theory is likely right scanesare, the soot probably does mute the sound over time. The pops are so addicting on decel, there is also some minor drone for sure but not enough to bother me at this point.

Golf mk7 / Re: DTUK Pedalbox
« Last post by Splashalot on Today at 01:28 »
Recently had the pedal box fitted to my Mk7.5 230 GTI manual and I can whole-heartedly confirm the reports of others on here - it really does cure the one achilles heal of the car (the seriouasly mushy and unresponsive stock throttle pedal).

I'm currently running in Sport with one red light (not green light - on the new pedal box I have the three red lights increase whilst the three green lights decrease the effect - is this the opposite to earlier boxes??)

Correct.  On my pedal box+ extra green lights decrease the effect.  For example, select green and each press of the "negative" button adds an extra green light up to a total of three.  Pressing the "positive" button adds red lights. I don't know about the original pedal box, though.

Cheers guys. I wish the CSG or Urano Grey was sold in NZ, its my favourite colour!

I'm really enjoying the stage 1 power now and the ride is definitely improved. I leave it in comfort mode mostly for daily driving, Sport mode is firmer for sure and noticeable. The drive-ability to me is the same as its not lowered too much about 15mm or so. I think its a worthwhile upgrade for sure. I'm guessing the springs still need a few more K's to settle a bit more.

I’ve got quite a few light scratches on my Brescia’s on the black part . Would some AG SRP do the trick?

Golf mk3 / AGG Filter Housing Torque?
« Last post by bmouthboyo on 19 July 2018, 22:17 »
hi guys can anyone tell me the torque setting or link to an in-line resource showing for the oil filter housing and crank breather hex bolts?

My Haynes manual doesn't seem to cover all the torque settings for ancillaries. Anyone know where I can find them online?

Thanks

General discussion / Re: Non Golf GTI problem..But could be
« Last post by Watts on 19 July 2018, 18:33 »
Take the cover off and check where the mirror pivots. On the GTI it is a metal part and on mine part of the metal casing snapped off and it did feel a bit loose. Mine broke because I caught it whilst reversing, perhaps someone has hit yours just enough to snap it but without leaving the evidence. If that is the case, with mine it mean't a new housing (minus the glass and cover) fitted for £420. If you are feeling handy, buy a salvaged one and fit it yourself, might get away with £130ish (guesstimate) and you can use the existing cover.
