Well, I'm going to eat my own words here. After popping in the dealer earlier to order my new 5 Door GTD DSG and a Polo Blue GT DSG for the wife (yes, a very expensive evening),  we got ,talking about the leather in the GTD.

He said one of the Golfs in the showroom had leather and we walked over to have a look. Bearing in mind it's only been on display apparently for 2 weeks, the side bolster on the back rest and squab were already creased and starting to sag slightly. Not what I expected to see for £1,675.00 !!

To be honest the dealer then told me privately it just wasn't worth the money and only added a few hundred pounds to the resell at trade in time. So I thought long and hard and ordered the grey Jacara cloth without ever having seen it in the flesh. Hope I don't live to regret my decision ?

Too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer.
I'll never have another car with leather.

The Jacara is just pure class.

Tartan Jacaro for me in my future Mk7 GTD.  Would never pay the expense for leather.  Have it in my current 62 plate Mk6 GTD, but there was no option - am not a fan of it at all, cold in winter, hot in summer and despite good bucket seats as I'm slim I still slip around when cornering in the country lanes!
Picked up 02.09.17 Mk7.5 GTD Isaac Blue, Manual 5 Drs, DCC, Reversing Camera, Keyless, 90% tints, Heated front screen, Mudflaps all round
