Having driven from Birmingham to Bonn, Germany and then onto Vienna, Austria. Just got back to Vienna from Novalja, Pag, Croatia (beautiful island in Croatia on the Dalmatian coast) via Zagreb. A total of 1900 miles.

Tomorrow. I get car ready for driving back from Vienna to Birmingham early on Friday morning. Another 1050 miles.
Been away for over four weeks. My VW Golf GTI needs a hearty clean when I get home, but she is wonderful on the German Autobahns!

Update.....

After a few adjustments and some nice cool weather recently I did another few 1/4 mile runs. I must say I'm impressed with how the car is running at the moment and using this method or recording my runs has yielded results within 0.05 seconds for the time at an official strip.

Need to focus on some "bling" bits for the car now.

It is a GIAC stage 3 engine map with a GIAC stage 3 custom DSG map on a Loba L0400 turbo with Water methanol injection.

Before the turbo upgrade it was 392bhp and 462lbft at Awesome GTI on their 4WD dyno.

Somewhere slightly north of 400bhp.

1st fill up since i got my 59 plate gti, managed 350 miles and had some fun along the way. Tesco Momentum 99 this time....lets see what all the fuss is about in regards to super unleaded.

The GTI i must admit is superb, never had a car with this much power before and teh acceleration from 40mph to *cough*70mp*cough* is soo sweet. the engine hummmm when accelerating is amazing, i tend not to even put on the radio, just listen to the engine. DSG is a god send, stuck in over an hours worth of traffic in the rain the other day, still couldnt stop

Looking forward to my next drive upto scotland, cant wait.

Mate your car looks amazing in white!
