just noticed that the front lower grill has a couple of the honeycomb 'beehive' cells cracked. Only got 3k miles on the car and have been driving it real slow so far so i doubt it is due to my driving. Has anyone else had this? Is it possible it's a defective part? Is it under warranty? If not, will super gluing it stop it from spreading all around? thanks

Are you sure something or someone hasn't driven into you or bumped into it whilst you've been parked?
It's possible it might be defective, it's worth a go to book it in with VW.

i'm definite. Not the slightest mark on the grill other than the crack. I noticed a small crack when the car was barely a month's old and today i noticed that it has spread to its left about 5cm

Take it to the dealer, you may get a new part on warranty

 already done that, no deal as expected. Not covered within warranty. Best they could do was sell me a new one for 100 euro and fit it for free. Just super glued it very carefully, still holds fingers crossed
