Easy to miss really as I haven't done much with it lately apart from drive it in the sunshine with the roof, down, and fiddle with the desperately irritating pooberg! Why someone put a carb engine in this car I don't know, but at least all the Kjet loom is all present, should be an easy swap tomorrow providing this engine is all its cracked up to be. Supposed to be an 80k lump from a mk1 campaign. Its gotta be better than the crap thats in it at present!

Kjet engine in, this was taken a few hours before I'd left so theres a bit more stuff connected up now

Turns out this engine was a really good find... Its not a 1.8, its an early 1.6 which i'm well chuffed about!

Ah cool, can't be that old then unless it had a box change at some point in it's life..

How long do you think it will take you get it all done?

Well I've been down the garage for an hour after work and got the fuel pump fitted, but its not working, hopefully its just missing a relay. Then I just have to connect up some hoses and it should be good to go
