GTI Build Dates - Anyone got one yet?

Norbreck21: It's in the dealership's interest to get you your GTD sooner to minimise depreciation on the P/X, but VW UK couldn't care either way. We really aren't going to know anything for sure until at least W/C 27 May when we may get a firm tracker update. Everything right now is hearsay from people at various stages in the supply chain that have an indication of what might happen. My P/X price is locked and like you all the time i'm without the GTD, my collateral in the current car is increasing.

My dealer, Camberley, rang me today with a build date of week 28.
I have a TT lease running til Oct so ideally won't take delivery til Sept or Oct.

I'm week 28 too, dealer txt me Friday to say still sitting on Wk28 and should stay that way now until confirmed. Fingers crossed!

It sounds like GolfTI will be the first UK member to get his car with a build week of 25. I'm week 26 but mine has to come a little further north...

Week 26 as it stands at the moment,went from 23 to 26

I doubt if they will send one lonely GTI on its own.

The boat will be full of them.
Our build weeks aren't confirmed yet so may be delayed or brought forward by a week ( or two).

I am starting to get really excited now.

I think if delivery was on August 31st I'd still take it and not wait for the 63 plate.

26 last time I checked. With any luck we'll all get brought forward to 24 and they can all come over on the same boat!  Couldn't care less about the number plate, I'd take delivery tomorrow if it was available!
