Getting rid of my Mk4
« on: 17 August 2017, 07:12 »
I'm new to the forum and in no way techy at all so please bear with me.

I have a Mk4 3dr Golf 1.8 GTi that i now sadly need to part ways with. With the addition of a new family member it's no longer practical and I have had to invest in something more 'sensible'.

At the moment my only options are looking like scrapping or selling privately for a couple hundred pounds. I would much rather ot not be scrapped, and whilst I'd like to get a bit of money back on it I have a lot love for it and would rather see it go to a good home or Golf enthusiast.

It's done just shy of 125000 miles, needs 2 new front tyres, rear pads and discs are worn, exhaust mounting needs replacing and it just needs a bit of TLC. It still runs and I've been driving it daily.

So, with all that in mind, would anyone have any recommendations? Or would I be best selling privately and hope someone can bring it back to its former glory?

Cheers

Paul
