How far do you all go in terms of how much you actually tell the insurance company about what mods you have?

Surely if you told them about everything it would cost a fortune.

I would like some alloys but know whether to tell them i have them I should really ring them up and ask them i guess)

I fitted a forge 007p and didnt bother.

IF  i ever crashed my car into an inanimate  object (which i wont hopefully) it wouldnt be bother claiming as i would cost too much for insurance the next year round.

Shine a light on this for me please?

Cheers

Yes, everything is declared to my insurers, it's really not worth the risk.

Basically, I'll give you an example.

You crash into a exotic motor lets say a Lambo, and write it off ££££. Your insurer will go through your motor with a fine comb to find a way out of paying the claim. If they do (and they are well within their rights) you'll be liable for the damage caused. I.e be prepared to file bankruptcy. Likewise (more up my street) crash your car into a house even bigger bucks would you believe.

Then think to yourself, was it worth the extra few quid? You don't know whats round the corner (literally) is it worth the risk of that happening?

Certainly wouldn't discuss on a public forum what you don't tell your insurance company.....

Better to be upfront and tell them everything, not worth the risk.

I always declare all mods
