'Broke' down twice in one journey!
« on: 18 March 2014, 13:12 »
Yooo, just a quick post giving an example of the lugs failing on the boost pipes of the 150PD.

I was on my drive home, just cruising, came onto an on ramp for a dual carriage way, accelerated - BANG - huge noise, big thud, no boost, awful. I feared the worst. I rolled into a servie station, had a look around, could see the pipe behind the OS wheel.

Luckily I had my tools with me, bumper of and tried to fix it...I did but only for another few miles, of it came again. This time I rolled into a petrol station with a garage behind it, and managed to borrow a self tapper and a drill to bodge it!

Can't get the pic working! Will find it later.

sucks when this happens! my favourite one at the minute is the boost hoae that goes into the egr. akways keep an 'emergency repair kit' in the car now! got coolant, oil, compressor, few jubilee clips abd screwdrivers. has save me a few times
i think i love you.....
