115PD MPG
« on: 16 March 2012, 19:16 »
Just drove back from London to Cambridge, totalling 77miles, general driving, little bit of over taking where needed, and pulled up on my parents drive to see that I had averaged 57.4MPG

Now this is nowhere near my best, which was 64MPG on a 15mile journey, driving like a complete pussy, but I just can't stop but smile at the returns I get from it! Unless I drive like  a tw@, or only do a short 'city centre' journey, I never see an average less than 50MPG!! For an 11year old car, whose laughing, when you hear all these people buying 'Eco cars' for in excess of £20k for an MPG return of not that much more!

I will be looking to get it remapped in the future, as it's not got anything like the power my GTI has, but my advice to anyone looking at getting a PD, don't rule out the little beast!

I wouldn't worry, your MPG may be less, but so is the time it takes you to get up to 70mph!!

I regularly go to/from Cheltenham and Cardiff from London, and doing 70-80mph, i always get about 55-57mpg in my PD150.

Love my derv.
