I like the new features page. :)
In the performance section, though, you've neglected my poor little 1.8 20v non-turbo. Everyone forgets about my baby :'(
-
what is a caribe gt? is that their version of a gti? ???
-
The practical classic one is interesting as my old car was featured in their mag in a coupe shoot out.
I used to have a MK1 Scirocco Storm and funnily enough it came out on top.
Well it was up against the ford capri, renault feugo and porsche 924.
No contest ;)

yeah, seems the Mexican market never got fuel injection, hence GT
was that while you had the Scirocco that it was in the mag?

Is Adam's mk1 really a 1992? Surely this would make it a Mk2 (which it quite obviously isn't). Do you mean 1982 in the article?
-
VW didn't make a mk2 convertible, they are all mk1 shape up until they made the mk3 :)

Exactly - why mess with perfection
-
they did a similar thing with the mk4 convertible didnt they? its mostly mk3 or something?
-
it's very mk3! basically just a facelift

... ahh! I see. Didn't cross my mind that I hadn't seen a Mk2 convertible!
Yeah. Mk4 cabs are just Mk3's with new headlights.
-
and new wings isnt it? :)
-
and bumpers, bootlid, interior, etc but hidden under there is a mk3 :)
it's good though as it gives mk3 owners a lot more modification options. you could totally mk4-front your mk3 which otherwise would have meant a hell of a lot of bodyshop work
-
^^^ that's a good point.
-
even the dash is the same. just has a funky feel to it.
There was someone selling a mk4 cab dash for ?50. I asked him if he had the glovebox in the same effect or would I have to use my black mk3 one and he told me to stop wasting his time cos there's no way it would fit in a mk2 cos they're all different shells. ::)
