Mk3 exhaust system question

 Greetings friends and mk3 enthusiasts!!
 I have a question regarding the exhaust system on a mk3 1.6ABU and maybe someone knows how i can find out or maybe you can tell me exactly the answer i need.
 Will a exhaust system from a more powerfull mk3 fit my engine?For example a 1.8petrol exhaust system.
 It would be great if the mainfold would fit too.If not, at least the rest of the exhaust.

the golf exhaust is good as it uses a connector piece (on most models) from the back of the cat, so any exhaust should fit from there onwards you'll just need to sleeve it to the right bore (1.8&2.0 8v use 1 size/2.0 16v & vr use another larger size)
