Hello m8,

As stated in the return email, you need to have the correct ECU hardware to match what you had prior.  I wont take a risk remapping  a 018R 0261204673  to be used to replace an 018CG 0261200518.  if you get another 018CG I am willing to help you, but I wont risk damage to your engine which would result in my name being dragged through the mud.  If a jobs worth doing its worth doing right.

I will take a look at your naffed 018R and see if I can fix it for you.

The are two software revisions for the 018R and even getting them wrong on the "right" ecu for the car will cause issues.

Nick

Have you sold your mk2 then?   Did your ori ECU have an mtm chip with protection PCB?

Hello Fren,

Yes I still have my mk2 .I love the car to death.Never have I owned a car that makes me happy when I drive.ABF engine nice mod on this car.Im sure a 1.8T even nicer on a MK2 and with 4 wheel drive if possible, would truly be fantastic.

The previous owner told me that it was an MTM chip/tuning.Dont know for sure. But the chip itself is a AMD chip. The original chip looks the same too.

How to upload a pic here??

Thanks mate

The standard in you ecu would have been an AMD-AM29f2000bb AMD is the make of chip not the tuning company.

You need to you photobucket to host you pictures then pase the IMG link in to the body of you text.
