Hi all,

Just a quick one to say hi!

I’ve ordered a Clubsport for collection next week so looking forward to getting stuck into the forum. I’m a bit of an obsessive detailer/ clean freak with my cars so the combination of white paint and winter roads should be interesting!

Cheers

Welcome!

Great car (hopefully), great colour (definitely) and great hobby!
Unfortunately you’ll put me to shame with the detailing side.

What’s your car history?

Assuming your car is bone stock being as it’s one of the first batch?

Completely stock but the deal on offer was far too good to turn down.

Varied car history but of late my favourite few have been an M4 competition, 718 Boxster S, X4M comp and an Audi A8. All very different and lovely cars but I can’t resist a well sorted front wheel drive hatch. The M cars were lovely but with the M4 it always felt like it wanted to kill you at anything above 8/10 and the X4M was dull unless driving like a complete tool.

Cannot wait for the golf, never owned a GTI but did have a Scirocco back in 2011 which was lovely.

An interesting mix of cars!
Any planned modifications for the Clubsport or will it just be cleaned to perfection instead?

I tend to find when I join owners forums I start looking at modifications! I might change the wheels as I’m not keen on the standard fit but I may just live with them.

It’s all too easy to get sucked into the modifying thing.
The standard alloys aren’t too bad really, they could do with spacers maybe, it was the same with the mk7.
I have bought new wheels for mine having said that, but aren’t in any rush to fit them.
