Replacement MFA screens
« on: 25 July 2016, 17:44 »
Hello all, just to let you know that a friend and I have been developing new MFA LCD screens which will be available very soon. Price is still to be sorted but won't break the bank. Will come with full instuctions showing you how to replace the screen. The kit will include new contact strips and a new screen. I have just received the sample screens this week so am hoping the new screens will be available to sell within the next month.

I also need a Mk2 to test them on as well if there is a member in the central belt of Scotland. Will get a new screen fitted FOC,

What would be really good is if they were to illuminate when you push the MFA button, so you can see the display in the dark!

Put a bulb in the clocks behind the mfa.

Better still use a white based 2w  bulb sold for the VW  T25  clocks.

Don't bother with led  versions - the ones I've tried have been a poor  fit and contacts go iffy after a few days.

As the access to the back of the clocks, including the vacuum pipe is such a swine to achieve, the last thing you want is to have to  pull the clocks out a few days later when the aftermarket LEDs start playing up!
